Siemens Industry Corporation Manufactures Electric Utility Equipment of All Types

Siemens Industry Corporation manufactures electric utility equipment of all types, throughout the world.  CBM recently visited one of Siemen’s plants in Wendell, NC with a major customer to learn more about their Motor Control Center manufacturing process.  While there, a virtual plant tour was conducted of the Siemen’s medium voltage breaker and switchgear plant located in Queretaro, Mexico. 

The plant in Wendell has a Customer Experience Center in which all major equipment manufactured by Siemens Industry is displayed for customers to see, touch and experience.

The ongoing investments in new technology and process improvement was evident at both locations, as can be seen in the below pictures.  Both factories have an integrated quality process that starts at the vendor locations that supply materials and follows the manufacturing process until the equipment is delivered to the customer. 

Even after delivery, Siemen’s Service Group provides lifecycle support for anything produced at these plants.  Siemens also maintains an enormous inventory of parts for new and existing equipment.

The global demand for energy products has pushed many manufacturers to dramatically increase their delivery times and while this has also impacted Siemens, they have been able to maintain reasonable delivery times compared to their competition. 

Our trip to Wendell was an overwhelming success and our customer now has a much better view of Siemens Industry’s capabilities and the quality they build into their products.
