In today’s ever-changing world in the FTTH market growth and scalability is often overlooked. In the past you would hope you had enough fiber in the closure to handle your needs. Then perhaps a new subdivision is built and you are now needing growth. Thats when the PLP segmented end plate comes into play allowing you to easily add more cables to your closure.
The engineers at PLP came up with this great design for the segmented end plate making expansion as easy as123! By simply taking the end plate assembly apart with a can wrench. This then allows you to not only add cables but to do so without having to take down the network by using the PLP closures with the segmented end plates and the grommets.
The steps are easy. Simply remove the end cap piece, add your new cable and correct size grommet for the cable you are using, then insert and replace the end cap piece. There are only a couple screws holding it in place.
By being able to do this you save money on costly outages and no down time. As well as no more costly overtime maintenance window work!
