This spring, CBM was fortunate to visit the TAPP, TransAmerican Power Products, Inc., steel pole plant located in Guadalajara, Jalisco, Mexico. This location is one of the largest steel pole manufacturing facilities in North America. The visit was precipitated by a follow up quality audit with a large KC based engineering firm, as well as a project pre-fabrication meeting.
TAPP’s Guadalajara plant is extremely automated with high-speed computer-controlled equipment. The plant carries 28 seam welders, 15 press brakes, and 7 plasma cutters. This allows them to handle structures greater than 110” in diameter and 1.25” thick. TAPP’s 1.5 million square feet of production space employs more than 1,000 people.
CBM is proud to represent TAPP in KS, MO, Southern IL, AR and OK.
